Our first Plakkie design to celebrate an inland destination,  the historic town of Stellenbosch’s celebrated university. 

The Matie is the nickname for students of Stellenbosch University which came from the Afrikaans colloquialism maat (mate or friend), originally used by the students of the University of Cape Town’s precursor, the South African College. 

A purchase with a purpose:

Five percent of all Matie Plakkie sales are donated to Bridge the Gap, the Universdity’s of Stellenbosch’s longstanding initiative to provide food security and financial aid to students in need.
